Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care delivery and adherence to individual care plans.
- Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and performance reviews for care staff, identifying training needs and fostering professional development.
- Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of person-centred care for all service users.
- Act as a primary point of contact for service users, their families, and external professionals, addressing concerns and maintaining strong relationships.
- Ensure all care operations comply with CQC regulations, company policies, and health and safety guidelines.
- Manage staff rotas and scheduling to ensure adequate cover, accounting for flexible working arrangements where applicable.
- Participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis to provide support and guidance outside of standard hours.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior care role, with supervisory responsibilities
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in care
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations
- Proficiency in record-keeping and care plan development
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services
- Experience with digital care planning systems
- First Aid qualification
- Knowledge of local Bradford community resources and networks
