Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care delivery and adherence to individual care plans.
  • Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and performance reviews for care staff, identifying training needs and fostering professional development.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of person-centred care for all service users.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for service users, their families, and external professionals, addressing concerns and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Ensure all care operations comply with CQC regulations, company policies, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Manage staff rotas and scheduling to ensure adequate cover, accounting for flexible working arrangements where applicable.
  • Participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis to provide support and guidance outside of standard hours.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.

Required Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior care role, with supervisory responsibilities
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in care
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and care plan development
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services
  • Experience with digital care planning systems
  • First Aid qualification
  • Knowledge of local Bradford community resources and networks
