Job Description
Are you an experienced and reliable dispatch rider with an intimate knowledge of Nairobi’s routes, especially Lang’ata? Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated Dispatch Rider to join our growing logistics team. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the prompt, safe, and efficient delivery and collection of packages, documents, and goods across specified routes. You will be the face of our company on the road, directly impacting our reputation for speed and customer satisfaction.
Your day will involve navigating the bustling streets of Nairobi, meticulously planning your routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency, and handling various items with utmost care. You’ll interact with a diverse range of clients, from corporate offices to individual customers, requiring a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. Maintaining your assigned motorcycle in excellent working condition, adhering to all traffic laws, and ensuring the security of packages entrusted to you are paramount aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute timely and safe deliveries and collections of packages, documents, and goods to designated locations.
- Efficiently plan and optimize daily routes to ensure prompt delivery within Lang’ata and wider Nairobi.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including proof of delivery.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team, clients, and recipients regarding delivery statuses or any issues encountered.
- Ensure the motorcycle is well-maintained, clean, and in excellent working condition; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Process cash on delivery (COD) payments accurately and securely, if required.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A/F driver's license for motorcycles.
- At least 1 year of professional dispatch riding experience in Nairobi.
- Proven knowledge of Nairobi's road networks, particularly Lang’ata.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and utilize GPS navigation systems effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle packages with care and ensure their security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent.
- Experience with mobile delivery applications.
- Basic motorcycle maintenance knowledge.
- First Aid certification.
