Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding team at Venda Express Logistics. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential new clients and target markets to generate sales leads.
  • Perform outbound prospecting activities, including cold calls, email campaigns, and social selling to engage with decision-makers.
  • Qualify leads based on established criteria, understanding their logistics needs and pain points.
  • Schedule and confirm introductory meetings and product demonstrations for Senior Sales Executives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine outreach strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation and meeting targets.
  • Provide feedback from prospects to improve our services and sales approach.
  • Represent Venda Express Logistics professionally and enthusiastically in all communications.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets or lead generation metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of persistence, resilience, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong research and analytical skills for identifying potential clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of other South African official languages, especially Tshivenda or Sepedi.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN Selling).
  • Track record of successfully cold calling and prospecting.
