Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying sealants, ensuring a stable and even base for tiling.
- Accurately measure and cut tiles and other materials to fit specific patterns or spaces using various cutting tools.
- Lay tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces using appropriate adhesives and ensuring correct alignment and spacing.
- Apply grout between tiles, ensuring a smooth, uniform, and water-tight finish.
- Install waterproofing membranes in wet areas such as bathrooms and showers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Inspect and correct any irregularities or imperfections in the tiling work.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies on site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, other tradespeople, and clients to ensure smooth project progression.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Tiler specializing in floor and bathroom installations.
- Proficiency in various tiling techniques and materials (ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, mosaic).
