Are you an experienced Human Resources professional ready to take on a pivotal leadership role within a dynamic and fast-paced organization? Digicel Jamaica is seeking a highly motivated and strategic HR Manager to join our vibrant team in Red Hills, Kingston. In this critical position, you will be instrumental in shaping our people strategy, fostering an exceptional employee experience, and driving organizational success. As the HR Manager, you will be a key business partner, collaborating closely with senior leadership to translate business goals into effective HR initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that support our growth, enhance employee engagement, and ensure fairness and transparency across the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in areas such as performance management, succession planning, and organizational development, driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of high performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment through effective employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee and manage compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management (e.g., local labor laws and regulations).
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Maintain HR staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Guide management and employee actions by developing and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and appeals in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven working experience as an HR Manager or similar role for at least 5 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of Jamaican labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent people management skills and strong leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and data analysis.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Solid understanding of HR systems (HRIS) and databases.
  • BS/MS degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
  • Experience in the telecommunications or technology industry.
  • Familiarity with HR software platforms like SAP SuccessFactors or similar.
  • Experience with change management initiatives.
