Job Description

As a Merchandising Assistant, you’ll be immersed in the day-to-day operations that keep the retail engine running. You’ll gain invaluable insights into product lifecycle management, market analysis, inventory control, and visual merchandising principles. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Merchandisers and Buyers with product selection, order placement, and inventory management.
  • Generate and analyse sales reports, identifying trends and making recommendations for future assortments.
  • Maintain accurate product data and information within internal systems.
  • Support with competitor analysis and market research to identify new opportunities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding deliveries, stock levels, and product queries.
  • Prepare presentation materials for range reviews and supplier meetings.
  • Monitor stock performance, highlighting fast-selling and slow-moving lines.
  • Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure product displays align with strategy.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the merchandising department.

Required Skills

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to interpret data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
