Job Description
As an experienced Supply Chain Officer specializing in Distribution Network, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Wisynco Group Limited’s market-leading position through exceptional logistical execution. Operating from our Norbrook location, you will be the linchpin in ensuring the seamless, cost-effective, and timely distribution of our diverse portfolio of products across Jamaica, with a focused impact on the Kingston and St. Andrew market.
Your expertise will be critical in refining our existing distribution channels, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall supply chain resilience and responsiveness. You will delve into data analytics, leveraging insights to forecast demand accurately, optimize inventory deployment across various distribution points, and develop strategic transport plans that maximize efficiency while minimizing operational costs. This role demands a proactive individual who can not only manage daily logistical challenges but also contribute to long-term strategic planning for our distribution network’s growth and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement distribution strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times across the network.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels within the distribution network to ensure optimal stock rotation and minimize obsolescence.
- Coordinate daily logistics operations, including transportation, route planning, and fleet management (both in-house and third-party).
- Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers and logistics service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Analyze distribution data, identify trends, and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and distribution.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution network, utilizing lean principles and supply chain best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, warehousing, procurement, and customer service teams to align distribution efforts with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Oversee the proper documentation and record-keeping for all distribution activities.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within the distribution network, ensuring business continuity.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on distribution and logistics.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in distribution network optimization, inventory management, and transportation planning.
- Proficiency in Supply Chain Management (SCM) software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry or a similar high-volume distribution environment.
- Familiarity with Jamaican transportation regulations and logistical challenges.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
