Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients remotely to understand their travel preferences, budgets, and specific requirements.
- Research, recommend, and book flights, accommodation, car rentals, tours, cruises, and other travel components.
- Process bookings, issue tickets, vouchers, and travel documents accurately and efficiently.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, visa requirements, travel insurance, and health regulations.
- Handle amendments, cancellations, and re-bookings promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new products, and global travel advisories.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Travel Consultant.
- Proficiency in GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, or Worldspan).
- Excellent knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations.
- Proven sales and customer service skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant travel and tourism qualification (e.g., Diploma or Certificate).
- Experience with online booking tools and CRM software.
- Fluency in additional South African official languages.
- Previous experience working remotely in a client-facing role.
