Job Description

Bolloré Transport & Logistics is seeking enthusiastic Exhibition Setup Helpers to join our dynamic team on a part-time, flexible schedule basis. This vital role involves supporting the successful assembly and dismantling of various exhibition stands, event structures, and display areas for our clients or internal projects in the Pundanhar area of Palma. As an Exhibition Setup Helper, you’ll be instrumental in bringing visions to life, transforming empty spaces into engaging and functional environments. This is a hands-on position requiring physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative spirit. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning valuable skills in event logistics and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of exhibition materials, equipment, and displays.
  • Follow instructions from team leaders to assemble and dismantle various event structures, including booths, stands, staging, and furniture.
  • Carry out manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, arranging, and securing items safely.
  • Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage during transport and setup.
  • Assist with the installation of graphic panels, signage, and other decorative elements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the setup and dismantling phases.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines and procedures on site.
  • Support the team in packing and organizing materials for storage or return post-event.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to ensure successful event execution.

Required Skills

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25 kg) safely.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic, with a commitment to punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures in a working environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event setup, exhibition installation, or a similar manual labor role.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools for assembly and disassembly tasks.
  • Knowledge of local languages, including Portuguese and/or Emakhuwa.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
