Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead our Dispatch Team in Sasolburg. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the seamless, efficient, and safe flow of our products from production facilities to various destinations. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind our daily dispatch operations, overseeing a dedicated team and ensuring that all logistical activities are executed with precision and in compliance with Sasol’s stringent safety and quality standards. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the transportation of goods, optimising routes, managing vehicle fleets, and maintaining accurate dispatch records.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the daily operations of the dispatch team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Plan, organise, and monitor the dispatch and delivery of products, optimising routes and scheduling to meet deadlines.
- Manage the fleet of vehicles, coordinating maintenance, inspections, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all dispatch activities, including waybills, delivery notes, and other relevant paperwork.
- Implement and enforce Sasol's safety protocols and procedures within the dispatch department, conducting regular safety briefings and audits.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and foster professional development for team members.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and sales departments to ensure seamless coordination and resolve any logistical issues.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost management.
- Utilise logistics software and systems for tracking, planning, and reporting purposes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance dispatch operations and reduce operational costs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics supervision, specifically in dispatch or transport management.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics and fleet management software (e.g., SAP, TMS).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
