Job Description
Versailles Hotel is currently seeking a charismatic and skilled Bar Attendant to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Interact engagingly and professionally with guests, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, bar tools, and ingredients.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions with integrity.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and bar supplies, assisting with stock rotation and ordering as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as liquor licensing laws.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly and courteously.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Attendant, preferably within a hotel or high-volume lounge setting (minimum 6 months)
- Excellent knowledge of various spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail recipes.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic cash handling and operating a POS system.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Hospitality or Bartending.
- Experience with inventory management and stock control.
- Familiarity with local Jamaican beverage culture and popular drinks.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
