Job Description
Are you a visionary storyteller with a passion for bringing ideas to life through dynamic visuals? BrandActiv is seeking a talented and versatile Videographer to join our vibrant marketing team in Tranquebar, Port Louis. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who excels in both the technical and artistic aspects of video production, from initial concept to final delivery. You will be instrumental in creating engaging video content across various platforms, including social media, digital campaigns, internal communications, and promotional materials for our extensive portfolio of brands.
As our Videographer, you will be responsible for the entire video production lifecycle. This includes pre-production planning such as scripting, storyboarding, and scouting locations, through to the hands-on shooting of high-quality footage. Your expertise in cinematography, lighting, and sound will be crucial in capturing compelling visuals that align with BrandActiv’s brand guidelines and marketing objectives. Post-production will be a significant part of your role, requiring proficiency in video editing, motion graphics, color grading, and sound mixing to produce polished, professional, and impactful videos.
You will work closely with our marketing managers, brand teams, and other creative professionals to brainstorm ideas, understand project requirements, and translate strategic briefs into visually stunning content. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and produce high-quality video content for a variety of platforms and marketing initiatives, encompassing brand campaigns, product launches, social media, and internal communications.
- Manage all aspects of video production, including pre-production (storyboarding, scripting, location scouting, talent coordination), production (camera operation, lighting, sound recording), and post-production (editing, motion graphics, color grading, sound design).
- Collaborate closely with marketing teams, brand managers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, develop creative concepts, and ensure video content aligns with brand identity and strategic goals.
- Operate and maintain a range of professional video equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting kits, audio recorders, and drones.
- Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and best practices for digital platforms.
- Stay updated with the latest video production trends, techniques, and software to continuously enhance the quality and creativity of our video output.
- Organize and maintain a comprehensive video asset library, ensuring proper tagging and archiving of footage and final projects.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to elevate video projects and campaign effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Videographer with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse video production work.
- Expert proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Solid understanding of cinematography, lighting techniques, and sound recording principles.
- Experience with motion graphics and visual effects (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
- Ability to operate professional video cameras, lenses, and associated equipment.
- Strong storytelling abilities and a keen eye for visual composition and detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with color grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve).
- Familiarity with drone operation and aerial videography (relevant certifications a plus).
- Basic knowledge of graphic design principles (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience working in a marketing agency or an in-house creative team for a consumer goods company.
