Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders to verify accuracy of quantity and quality.
- Document discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately and report to management.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (with provided training and certification) safely and efficiently.
- Sort and organize received materials in designated staging areas, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area at all times, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in cycle counting procedures as required.
- Collaborate with other warehouse departments to ensure efficient material flow and problem resolution.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or manual records to accurately log incoming goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory look-up.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
- High school diploma or GED.
