You will play a key role in month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and the preparation of various financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide support for audits and assist with financial analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Accountant (minimum 3 years).
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
- Advanced MS Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Experience in a similar industry (e.g., professional services, tech).
- Familiarity with financial regulations in the UK.
- Experience with ERP systems implementation or migration.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
