Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test mechanical systems, products, and components using CAD software.
  • Conduct thorough engineering analysis, including FEA, stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics simulations.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications, engineering drawings, and design documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing, and project managers.
  • Perform root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement robust corrective actions.
  • Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently to meet critical deadlines.
  • Participate in prototyping, physical testing, and commissioning activities for new products or systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, R&D projects, and adoption of new technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Inventor).
  • Strong foundational understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and thermodynamics.
  • Demonstrable experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for technical communication and collaboration.
  • Proven aptitude for project management and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills for a collaborative work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or chartership (CEng) with a relevant institution.
  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
  • Prior experience in specific industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, or robotics.
