Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality of our software products and services, which are critical to the nation’s digital infrastructure. As a Senior Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies and automation frameworks for complex applications, including web, mobile, and backend systems. Your expertise will guide the team in identifying and mitigating risks early in the software development lifecycle.
This position requires a proactive individual with a strong commitment to quality assurance best practices, including a deep understanding of test automation, performance testing, security testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements, define acceptance criteria, and deliver robust, bug-free solutions. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior QA engineers, promoting a culture of quality, and driving process improvements within the team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages.
- Lead the creation of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data for new features and existing functionalities.
- Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, performance, and security testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure testability of features.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in software quality assurance.
- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality from the initial stages of development.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and communicate quality metrics to project stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong proficiency in designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) using Java, Python, or C#.
- Extensive experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ISTQB Advanced Level Certification.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Experience with mobile application testing (iOS and Android).
