Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support patients with feeding and ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report changes to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Assist with patient transfers and repositioning using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Document care provided and observations accurately in patient records.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with various tasks as directed.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to patient calls and requests.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to care.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively within a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
