Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee engineering projects from initial design phase through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk assessment, and quality control procedures.
  • Coordinate and liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and smooth project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits, detailed inspections, and progress meetings, providing timely updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project activities strictly comply with relevant industry standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
  • Prepare precise technical specifications, detailed design documents, and procurement requests for project materials and services.
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively develop robust mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle, applying sound engineering principles and advanced problem-solving skills.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a closely related field)
  • Proficiency in industry-standard project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6)
  • Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles and the entire project lifecycle management process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluent English as a primary requirement
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and adhere to strict timelines effectively
  • Extensive experience with CAD software and the interpretation of complex technical drawings
  • Solid analytical reasoning and advanced problem-solving capabilities in an engineering context

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or a recognized professional engineering certification (e.g., P.Eng, CEng)
  • Demonstrated experience working within a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy environment
  • In-depth familiarity with UK building codes, construction regulations, and relevant industry standards
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification
