Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including artisan breads, rolls, cakes, pastries, cookies, and desserts, following established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and fryers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Decorate and present baked goods in an aesthetically pleasing and consistent manner.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP principles) at all times, maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of fresh products.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to innovate and improve our product offerings.
- Troubleshoot baking issues and adjust recipes as needed to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior baking staff when applicable.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Baker, specifically in bread and pastry production.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
