Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and clinic schedules efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and paper patient records (EHR management).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for patients, handling inquiries and providing clear information.
  • Draft and dispatch professional correspondence, including letters, reports, and emails.
  • Process billing, insurance claims, and payments with precision.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and adequately stocked with necessary forms.
  • Liaise with medical staff, pharmacies, and external healthcare providers.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls professionally and courteously.
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to data protection (GDPR) and patient confidentiality regulations.

Required Skills

  • Fluent and impeccable command of the English language (written and spoken).
  • Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of clinical procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
