Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and reviewing company operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Support the preparation of compliance reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Help with the development and implementation of compliance training materials for employees.
  • Conduct research on new and updated regulatory requirements relevant to our industry.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance activities and documentation.
  • Participate in risk assessment activities and help identify potential areas of non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Provide administrative support to the compliance team as needed.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (e.g., Business, Law, Finance, Public Administration, or related field).
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated interest in compliance, ethics, or regulatory affairs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (academic or volunteer) in a role requiring research or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of risk management principles.
