Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, evidence-based midwifery care to women and their families from conception through the postnatal period.
- Conduct comprehensive antenatal assessments, provide education, and monitor maternal and fetal well-being.
- Manage labour and birth, offering continuous support, monitoring, and appropriate interventions.
- Deliver expert postnatal care, including breastfeeding support, newborn assessments, and maternal recovery monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with NMC guidelines and local policies.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with women, families, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clear understanding of care plans.
- Educate women on health promotion, disease prevention, and family planning options.
- Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively, initiating appropriate care and escalating when necessary.
- Participate in clinical audits, service improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development activities.
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal frameworks governing midwifery practice in the UK.
Required Skills
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Demonstrable experience as a practicing Midwife
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, for clear and compassionate communication
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively
- Proficiency in emergency obstetric skills and resuscitation (e.g., NLS, PROMPT)
- High level of empathy, patience, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Midwifery
