Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating, revising, and modifying technical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software under supervision.
- Prepare detailed drawings and plans from sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions provided by engineers and designers.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams to understand design requirements and ensure accurate representation in drawings.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to established industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications.
- Maintain organized digital files, including proper documentation and revision control for all drawing sets.
- Actively participate in learning new drafting techniques, software features, and design methodologies.
- Provide support in preparing technical reports and presentations as needed.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related technical field.
- Basic proficiency and hands-on experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation).
- Fundamental understanding of drafting principles, orthographic projections, and basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and accuracy in technical work.
- Ability to interpret and work from technical instructions, blueprints, and design specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear collaboration.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
