Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior inspectors with on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties.
- Document inspection findings, observations, and compliance issues accurately.
- Review building plans, blueprints, and specifications for adherence to applicable codes and bylaws.
- Communicate findings and requirements to contractors, property owners, and other stakeholders under supervision.
- Learn and apply municipal bylaws and provincial building codes (e.g., BC Building Code).
- Conduct research on specific code requirements and construction best practices.
- Maintain organized records and contribute to inspection reports.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program (e.g., Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning).
