Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead dynamic and safe Pilates mat and reformer classes for diverse skill levels.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to create personalized workout plans and modifications.
- Provide clear, culturally sensitive, and adaptable instructions to accommodate various learning styles and language proficiencies.
- Monitor client progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and motivational environment for all clients, particularly international individuals.
- Educate clients on proper form, breathing techniques, and the benefits of Pilates for holistic wellness.
- Stay updated with industry trends, continuing education, and new Pilates techniques.
- Contribute to studio operations, including equipment maintenance, scheduling, and client communication.
- Promote additional studio services and encourage client retention through exceptional service.
Required Skills
- Nationally recognized Pilates certification (e.g., STOTT, Polestar, Body Control, Balanced Body)
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) experience teaching Pilates mat and reformer classes.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to connect with diverse client groups.
- Demonstrated empathy and cultural sensitivity in instructional settings.
- Proficiency in English with clear verbal communication.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for various fitness levels and individual needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in specialized Pilates areas (e.g., pre/postnatal, rehabilitation, athletic conditioning).
- Experience working with expatriate or international communities.
- Ability to communicate in additional languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Mandarin).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Relevant degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
