Key Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects from initial concept development through to completion, ensuring alignment with client vision and project goals.
- Develop detailed design plans, including space planning, furniture layouts, material selections, color palettes, and lighting schemes.
- Prepare comprehensive design presentations, mood boards, 3D renderings, and technical drawings for client approval and contractor implementation.
- Manage client relationships, conducting consultations, presenting designs, and incorporating feedback effectively.
- Source and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and materials from various vendors, ensuring quality and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress, resolve design-related issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and building codes relevant to interior design.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
- Adapt design solutions to meet diverse cultural preferences and functional requirements of international clientele.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional interior design experience with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office
- Excellent spatial planning, color theory, and material selection skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated experience in client management and project coordination
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Eligibility to work in the United States (visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or advanced certification in Interior Design or related field
- NCIDQ certification or equivalent international professional credential
- Proficiency in Revit or other BIM software
- Multilingual abilities, particularly in languages common among international clients
