As an Au Pair, your primary focus will be on childcare, providing a consistent and nurturing presence for children within their daily routines. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging childcare, including waking children, helping with meals, and assisting with homework.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, and outings to foster development and entertainment.
- Perform light household duties related to the children, such as tidying play areas, doing children's laundry, and preparing simple meals for them.
- Accompany children to school, nurseries, or extracurricular activities as required.
- Babysit occasionally during evenings, by prior arrangement with the host family.
- Engage in cultural exchange, sharing aspects of your own culture while learning about Scottish traditions and way of life.
- Maintain clear and open communication with the host family regarding children's well-being and daily schedule.
Required Skills
- Proven experience caring for children (e.g., babysitting, nursery work, youth camps).
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Positive, patient, and energetic attitude.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Adaptability and willingness to integrate into a new family dynamic and culture.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, live-in arrangement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (advantageous but not mandatory).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
