Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive oral assessments, including charting and periodontal screenings.
- Conduct thorough dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures.
- Administer local anesthetic as permitted by licensure and practice protocols.
- Take, develop, and interpret diagnostic dental radiographs.
- Provide individualized oral hygiene instructions and education on preventative care.
- Apply fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and other preventative agents.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Document all patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in dental software.
- Collaborate effectively with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Manitoba.
- Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers).
- Proficiency in dental charting and practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Abeldent, Open Dental).
- Exceptional manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a cohesive dental team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general practice setting.
