Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive medical affairs strategies aligned with company objectives and therapeutic area needs.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, credible relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and patient advocacy groups.
- Provide expert medical input and strategic support to cross-functional teams including Research & Development, Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access.
- Oversee the development, review, and approval of medical communication materials, ensuring scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance.
- Manage and participate in scientific advisory boards, symposia, and medical education programs.
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret emerging scientific and clinical data relevant to therapeutic areas, identifying implications for strategy.
- Ensure all medical affairs activities adhere to relevant local and international regulations, industry guidelines, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Medical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD).
- Minimum of 6 years' proven experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of drug development, clinical research methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to critically analyze, synthesize, and present complex scientific data effectively.
- Strategic thinking with a proactive, problem-solving approach and strong project management capabilities.
- High level of integrity, ethical standards, and a patient-centric mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced medical degree (MD preferred) with specialization in a relevant therapeutic area (e.g., Oncology, Cardiology, Neuroscience).
- Experience in product launch activities and lifecycle management for novel pharmaceutical products.
- Prior experience managing external vendors, consultants, and budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a matrixed organizational structure.
