Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote QA Engineer to join our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative software products from concept to deployment. As a key contributor in our agile development environment, you will play a crucial part in defining, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and strategies. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and developers across various time zones, leveraging your expertise to identify, document, and track bugs, and verify fixes. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionalities.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing, both manually and using automation tools.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs and defects using JIRA or similar bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and other QA engineers to understand project requirements and ensure testability.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test suites (e.g., using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing insights on quality assurance efforts.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure that issues are resolved correctly without introducing new regressions.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement within the QA team and the broader development lifecycle.
- Assist in the deployment and release process by ensuring all quality gates are met.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of test cases, test results, and testing processes.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright).
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
