Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging tennis lessons and coaching programs for individuals and groups across various age and skill levels.
  • Assess player abilities and provide constructive, personalized feedback to facilitate skill development and performance improvement.
  • Organize and supervise practice sessions, drills, and match play, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance player technique, tactics, fitness, and mental resilience.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and performance for all participants.
  • Actively promote tennis programs and encourage participation within the community.
  • Ensure all coaching activities comply with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and facility staff regarding schedules, progress, and program details.
  • Stay updated with the latest coaching methodologies and tennis trends to continuously improve teaching practices.

Required Skills

  • LTA Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent international qualification)
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience coaching tennis to diverse age groups and skill levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills
  • Strong understanding of tennis techniques, tactics, and rules
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

Preferred Qualifications

  • LTA Level 3 Coaching Qualification (or higher)
  • Experience in competitive tennis at a club or county level
  • Knowledge of sports psychology and player development pathways
  • Experience with online booking systems and coaching software
