Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Writer to join our fully remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing comprehensive technical documentation for our innovative software products and services. This includes user manuals, online help content, API documentation, release notes, and internal knowledge base articles. You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, UX designers, and quality assurance specialists to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and FAQs, for various software products.
- Collaborate with product development teams (engineers, product managers, designers) to gather and understand technical information and product features.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and consistent with company style guides and branding.
- Participate in product design and review meetings to provide input on user experience and documentation needs.
- Manage documentation through the entire lifecycle, from planning and creation to review, publication, and ongoing maintenance.
- Utilize various authoring tools, content management systems (CMS), and version control software.
- Conduct peer reviews of documentation produced by other team members.
- Proactively identify documentation gaps and propose solutions to improve overall user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices for technical writing and content strategy.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Technical Writer in a software development environment.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for various audiences.
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, Zendesk Guide, MadCap Flare, or similar.
- Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for documenting code examples or automating tasks.
- Familiarity with UX principles and information architecture.
- Experience with graphic design tools for creating diagrams and illustrations (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
