As our new Horse Riding Instructor, you will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of equestrians. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring the safety and well-being of both riders and horses at all times. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective horse riding lessons for individuals and groups across various skill levels.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all riders and horses during lessons and stable activities.
  • Assess rider abilities and adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and goals.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and encouragement to students to foster confidence and skill progression.
  • Assist with basic stable management tasks, including tacking/untacking, grooming, and horse preparation.
  • Maintain a professional, approachable, and patient demeanour with all clients and team members.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and equestrian activities.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices in equestrian instruction and stable management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Horse Riding Instructor.
  • Excellent riding ability and comprehensive knowledge of horse care and stable management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport.
  • Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and a positive teaching approach.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Thorough understanding of equestrian safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BHS Stage 2 Coach (or equivalent international qualification).
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with diverse age groups and abilities, including beginners and advanced riders.
  • Knowledge of multiple equestrian disciplines (e.g., dressage, show jumping, cross-country).
