Key Responsibilities
- Execute installation, maintenance, and repair of diverse refrigeration systems (commercial chillers, cold rooms, freezer units).
- Conduct routine service checks, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic fault finding.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations and F-Gas environmental policies.
- Provide technical support and clear communication to clients, ensuring exceptional service.
- Complete detailed service reports and all required documentation promptly.
- Manage refrigerant handling, recovery, and disposal in compliance with guidelines.
- Participate in an on-call rota for emergency breakdown situations as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer (minimum 3 years).
- F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across a range of refrigeration equipment.
- Excellent understanding of refrigeration cycles, components, and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, for technical communication and client interaction.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
- Experience with CO2 refrigeration systems.
- Additional HVAC certifications or qualifications.
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS).
- Excellent customer service skills and a client-focused approach.
