Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, inspect, and repair various renewable energy systems, including solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, small-scale wind turbines, and battery storage solutions.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in renewable energy infrastructure.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of systems.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, industry standards, and local regulations at all times.
- Document all work performed, including installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system operation and maintenance.
- Travel to various project sites across North Yorkshire and surrounding regions as required.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with new technologies and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in renewable energy system installation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring, circuitry, and diagnostic tools specific to solar PV and/or wind energy.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to working at heights and with electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various work sites.
- Good command of English (written and verbal communication skills).
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational qualification or certification in renewable energy technologies, electrical engineering, or a related field.
