Job Description
Embark on an extraordinary career journey as a Warehouse Operative specializing in Overseas Contracts with CRST International. Initially, you will be based at our state-of-the-art facility in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where you will undergo comprehensive training and onboarding. Upon successful completion of your training, you will be deployed to various international locations on a contract basis, supporting vital supply chain activities for our diverse client base, which often includes government, defense, and humanitarian efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Operate various material handling equipment safely and efficiently, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, adhering to international shipping regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to coordinate timely and accurate deliveries to overseas destinations.
- Participate in specialized training programs relevant to overseas operations, including cultural awareness and security protocols.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for quality and quantity, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, particularly during international deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues, escalating complex problems to supervisory staff.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and documentation.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced and challenging environments.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel and deploy overseas for extended periods (contract duration varies).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or relevant certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP or Oracle.
- Prior experience in international logistics or military supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with export/import regulations and customs procedures.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a second language, particularly those relevant to common deployment regions.
