Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations in Downtown, Waukegan. This pivotal full-time role involves managing the end-to-end logistics process, from inbound material handling and inventory management to outbound distribution and client delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely flow of goods, upholding our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs across all supply chain touchpoints.
- Manage and monitor all aspects of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control, ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance and safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to secure favorable terms and service levels.
- Utilize logistics software and analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales departments to forecast demand, plan capacity, and ensure seamless product flow.
- Drive initiatives for process improvement, automation, and technology adoption within the logistics function to enhance productivity and service quality.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Expertise in negotiation and vendor management.
- Deep understanding of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and domestic trade compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
