Key Responsibilities

  • Shadow and assist experienced Concierge team members in daily operations, learning best practices in guest service.
  • Greet guests warmly, offering assistance and information with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Learn to provide accurate and insightful recommendations for local dining, entertainment, shopping, and cultural attractions in Toronto.
  • Practice making reservations for guests, including restaurants, theatre tickets, transportation, and tours.
  • Assist with incoming calls and inquiries, providing helpful information and solutions.
  • Support guests with luggage handling, directions, and general inquiries about hotel services and amenities.
  • Maintain an organized and informative concierge desk, ensuring all resources are up-to-date.
  • Learn to handle challenging guest requests and situations with poise and discretion, seeking guidance when needed.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of hotel policies, services, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Proactive, 'can-do' attitude with a natural inclination for service excellence.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, even during busy periods.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience in any capacity (retail, food service, etc.).
  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (currently enrolled or recently graduated).
  • Familiarity with the Liberty Village neighborhood and broader Toronto attractions.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset.
