Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and culturally astute Hospitality Manager – International Transfer to join our prestigious team at The Roosevelt New Orleans. This specialized role is critical to enhancing the experience of our international guests who are either relocating to New Orleans or embarking on extended stays for business, diplomatic, or personal reasons. You will serve as the primary point of contact and an invaluable resource for these discerning guests, ensuring their transition and entire stay are seamless, supremely comfortable, and profoundly memorable. Your responsibilities will span everything from meticulous pre-arrival coordination, personalized welcome services, comprehensive cultural orientation, and hands-on assistance with local integration, to managing complex logistical needs and serving as an expert concierge adept in international protocols and customs. This role demands a profound understanding of diverse global cultures, exceptional communication skills across potential language barriers, and an innate ability to anticipate and proactively resolve the unique challenges often faced by individuals navigating a new country and unfamiliar environment. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated single point of contact for all international transfer guests, managing their entire pre-arrival, arrival, and extended stay experience with bespoke care.
- Coordinate closely and proactively with guests, their sponsoring organizations, and designated relocation agencies to thoroughly understand and anticipate specific needs, preferences, and critical cultural considerations.
- Oversee the meticulous preparation of bespoke welcome packages, which include essential local information, comprehensive cultural guides, and highly personalized amenities tailored to each guest.
- Provide comprehensive concierge services specifically tailored to international guests, encompassing guidance on visa support, local transportation arrangements, banking services, educational resources, and healthcare navigation.
- Act as a crucial cultural liaison, offering invaluable insights into local customs, etiquette, and lifestyle, thereby assisting guests in acclimating smoothly and comfortably to New Orleans.
- Manage and resolve any service-related issues or special requests with the utmost diplomacy, efficiency, and cultural sensitivity, consistently ensuring paramount guest satisfaction.
- Liaise effectively and collaboratively with all relevant hotel operations teams (including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage) to ensure a flawless and integrated execution of services and amenities for international guests.
- Develop and actively maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key local businesses, cultural institutions, and various service providers relevant to our international clientele.
- Monitor guest feedback rigorously and implement continuous improvement strategies to consistently enhance and elevate the international transfer experience.
- Train and educate hotel staff on best practices for interacting with diverse international guests, fostering a deeper understanding of cultural nuances and expectations.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant hospitality standards, safety regulations, and privacy policies for all international guests.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality management, with a strong, demonstrable focus on guest relations or international services.
- Proven experience working effectively with diverse international clientele and a deep, nuanced understanding of cultural sensitivities.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural communication skills, both written and verbal, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
- Proficiency in at least two languages (English required, additional languages are highly advantageous).
- Strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive, guest-centric approach to service and satisfaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by guest needs and dynamic hotel operations.
- Proficiency in hotel management software systems and standard office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, International Relations, or a directly related field.
- Fluency in Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, or Arabic is highly desirable.
- Direct experience in relocation services, corporate housing management, or an international concierge role.
- Familiarity with international visa processes and global travel regulations.
- Certifications in cross-cultural communication or advanced international guest service.
