Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for various fund structures.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of cash, positions, and trades.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, investment managers, and other third parties to facilitate smooth operations.
- Process and review investor transactions, capital calls, and distributions.
- Monitor fund expenses and income, ensuring accurate accruals and allocations.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and tax filings.
- Contribute to process improvements and the enhancement of operational efficiencies.
- Provide support for ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within a fund administrator, asset manager, or similar financial institution.
- Strong understanding of various investment instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
