Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Analyst to join our esteemed investment team in Willerby, Kingston upon Hull. You will engage with management teams of public companies, industry experts, and sell-side analysts to gather critical information and refine your investment thesis. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive fundamental equity research on assigned companies and sectors.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions) to support valuation analyses.
  • Prepare concise and insightful research reports, presentations, and investment recommendations for portfolio managers.
  • Monitor market trends, economic data, and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Engage with company management, industry experts, and sell-side analysts to gather critical information.
  • Present investment ideas and findings effectively to the investment committee.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the firm's investment processes and analytical tools.
  • Ensure all research and analyses comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Equity Analyst or in a similar financial research role.
  • Exceptional financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with financial data terminals (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA designation or progress towards completion.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience covering specific sectors relevant to our portfolio (e.g., Technology, Healthcare, Industrials).
  • Familiarity with ESG factors in investment analysis.
