Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including but not limited to X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Accurately position patients for various radiographic exams, explaining procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment safely and effectively, troubleshooting minor issues as needed.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols (ALARA principles) for both patients and staff.
- Review images for technical quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain precise patient records and documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology.
Required Skills
- Active ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Current Indiana State Radiologic Technologist License.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Proficiency in operating various radiographic imaging equipment.
- Thorough understanding of radiation safety principles and practices.
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Experience with advanced imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI, Mammography).
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
- Prior experience in a hospital or busy outpatient clinic setting.
