Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our network of healthcare professionals for a full-time, on-site position in Portage, Indiana. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including but not limited to X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
  • Accurately position patients for various radiographic exams, explaining procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment safely and effectively, troubleshooting minor issues as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols (ALARA principles) for both patients and staff.
  • Review images for technical quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain precise patient records and documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology.

Required Skills

  • Active ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Current Indiana State Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Proficiency in operating various radiographic imaging equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of radiation safety principles and practices.
  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience with advanced imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI, Mammography).
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
  • Prior experience in a hospital or busy outpatient clinic setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures.
