Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors across all dining areas, lounges, and hallways.
- Clean and sanitize all restroom facilities, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Empty and clean trash and recycling bins throughout the premises.
- Dust, wipe down, and polish surfaces, including tables, counters, windowsills, and decorative elements.
- Clean and maintain kitchen areas (excluding food preparation equipment requiring specialized cleaning, focusing on floors, walls, and non-cooking surfaces).
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly and safely.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers or scrubbers as required.
- Lock up and secure the premises at the end of the shift.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in a janitorial or commercial cleaning role.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment operation.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience cleaning in a restaurant, hospitality, or high-traffic commercial setting.
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) procedures.
- Basic communication skills in English.
