Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including restorative, surgical, and preventative care.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to established regulations and guidelines.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the dentist, ensuring patient safety.
- Provide patients with pre and post-operative instructions and education on oral hygiene.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
- Monitor patient comfort during dental procedures.
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures such as pouring models and making temporary crowns.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
