Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and passionate NGO Officer to join our dynamic team in West Lethbridge, Lethbridge. This pivotal role is specifically tailored for foreign professionals eager to bring their diverse experiences and global perspectives to make a significant impact within our local community. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and execute community development projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to identify community priorities and resource gaps.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, preparing regular reports on outcomes, impact, and lessons learned.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community members, local partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Secure funding through grant writing, proposal development, and donor cultivation activities.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and community engagement events.
- Ensure all project activities comply with organizational policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
- Mentor and support project volunteers and junior staff.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and organizational development of Career.zycto.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in project management within the non-profit sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse communities and cultures.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
