Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide array of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment, ensuring optimal performance and cleanliness.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner, providing recommendations and processing orders accurately.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions efficiently and maintain accurate till reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting coffee bar area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and replenish inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues and communicating effectively.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously.
- Stay informed about current coffee trends, new products, and seasonal offerings.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, stocking, and preparing for the next shift.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role (6+ months preferred).
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in operating coffee equipment, including espresso machines and grinders.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
- A positive attitude and a passion for creating excellent coffee experiences.
