Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lean Manufacturing Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sainte-Dorothée, Laval. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations, enhancing productivity, and reducing waste. You will work closely with various departments, from production and engineering to supply chain, to identify bottlenecks, implement Lean methodologies, and foster a culture of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate Lean manufacturing initiatives, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Kaizen events, Standard Work, and SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die).
  • Identify areas for process improvement, waste reduction (Muda), and efficiency gains across all production lines and operational workflows.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of Lean initiatives and report on progress to management.
  • Train and coach employees at all levels on Lean principles and tools, fostering a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze current state processes, define future state goals, and develop action plans for implementation.
  • Ensure consistent application of Lean principles and best practices, maintaining documentation for processes and procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of a robust problem-solving culture, utilizing tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and A3 methodology.
  • Manage multiple improvement projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and measurable results.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in implementing Lean tools and methodologies (e.g., VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Kanban, Poka-Yoke).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive data-backed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and motivating teams at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with ERP systems.
  • Ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience in high-volume production environments.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is a significant asset.
  • Familiarity with industry 4.0 concepts and their application in Lean manufacturing.
