Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging daily educational activities and lessons.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and nap times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Observe and document children's progress and development, communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, contributing to a supportive community.
  • Adhere to all state and local childcare licensing regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some college coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Prior volunteer or informal experience working with children
  • Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities
