Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging daily educational activities and lessons.
- Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and nap times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Observe and document children's progress and development, communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, contributing to a supportive community.
- Adhere to all state and local childcare licensing regulations and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Prior volunteer or informal experience working with children
- Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities
