Job Description

Food For The Poor Jamaica is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Community Advocacy Aide to join our impactful team in Little London, Westmoreland. As a Community Advocacy Aide, you will be a crucial link between Food For The Poor Jamaica’s extensive network of support and the communities we serve. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular community outreach to identify and assess the needs of vulnerable individuals and families.
- Facilitate communication between community members, local leaders, and Food For The Poor Jamaica staff.
- Assist beneficiaries in understanding and completing application forms for various aid programs (e.g., food, housing, healthcare).
- Organize and participate in community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns related to Food For The Poor Jamaica’s initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of community interactions, assessments, and program referrals.
- Advocate on behalf of community members to ensure their needs are heard and addressed by relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide feedback from the community and contribute to program development.
- Monitor and report on the impact of Food For The Poor Jamaica’s programs within the assigned communities.
