Job Description

Food For The Poor Jamaica is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Community Advocacy Aide to join our impactful team in Little London, Westmoreland. As a Community Advocacy Aide, you will be a crucial link between Food For The Poor Jamaica’s extensive network of support and the communities we serve. You will spend your days actively listening, empathizing, and collaborating with community members, local leaders, and other stakeholders to identify critical needs and facilitate appropriate interventions. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular community outreach to identify and assess the needs of vulnerable individuals and families.
  • Facilitate communication between community members, local leaders, and Food For The Poor Jamaica staff.
  • Assist beneficiaries in understanding and completing application forms for various aid programs (e.g., food, housing, healthcare).
  • Organize and participate in community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns related to Food For The Poor Jamaica’s initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of community interactions, assessments, and program referrals.
  • Advocate on behalf of community members to ensure their needs are heard and addressed by relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide feedback from the community and contribute to program development.
  • Monitor and report on the impact of Food For The Poor Jamaica’s programs within the assigned communities.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
