As a Ramp Agent, you will be a crucial part of our airport operations, directly responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft, baggage, and cargo. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail onto and off aircraft, adhering to weight and balance guidelines.
  • Operate various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, belt loaders, pushback tractors, and de-icing equipment (after training and certification).
  • Marshall aircraft to and from parking positions, using hand signals and communication devices.
  • Place and remove chocks, safety cones, and grounding cables for arriving and departing aircraft.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the ramp area and ground support equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and airport authority procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with flight crews, airline personnel, and fellow team members.
  • Assist with aircraft de-icing/anti-icing procedures during winter months, as required.
  • Handle special cargo and hazardous materials according to established protocols.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on all assigned equipment.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform duties in all weather conditions.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Pass (RAIC).
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of aviation operations or desire to learn quickly.
  • Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work environment.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
